The Home Energy Saving Loan makes retrofitting your house to be more energy efficient affordable and easy. Our scheme combines a low rate loan, application management, free home energy survey and a high quality contractor.

Who can apply?
This scheme is open to members of Capital Credit Union to improve the energy efficiency of their home (once it was built prior to 2006), either by insulating the roof or walls, upgrading the heating or by making a number of recommended energy saving improvements.
How much can I apply for?
Minimum borrowing of €3,250. So that means energy works of a minimum of €5000 in value required.
Grant on works 35% available. Energy works of €5,000 in value will attain a grant of €1,750.
How do I apply?
Complete the Expression of Interest Form and drop into the branch or fill in the enquiry form at the top of the page and one of our team will call you back to assist with your application.

Monthly repayments would be €100.20. Total Interest payable would be €357.20. Total Amount repayable would be €3,612.60
Please note: If your home has previously been grant-aided by SEAI for a specific energy measure, no further grants will apply for the same works. However you can apply under this scheme for an SEAI grant to carry out additional or new energy saving home improvements. Your eligibility will be checked by REIL to see what measures you can avail of for an energy retrofit grant. All expressions of interest must be received by Friday, 7th September 2018.
